1. Message of the Day

Image result for timely
You are undoubtedly a hard working person who works diligently doing the many jobs that are required around the house. They are things like:
  • Washing, drying, folding and putting away the laundry
  • Unloading and loading the dishwasher
  • Putting up and/or filing papers
  • Discarding useless stuff
  • Various cleaning chores.
But the question is: Are they done in a timely fashion?

One of the characteristics of those of us who are Messies
is we let things remain undone just a l-i-t-t-l-e bit too long (or maybe a lot too long) before we get around to doing them. More organized folks get around to doing things much more quickly than we do. Maybe one of the things we can do to get our organization train back on track and moving forward is just to hop to doing each job just as quickly as we can.

2. Did You Know?

I've Got to Get Rid of This Stuff!

If “I want to get rid of it but I just can’t” sounds like you and if you are ready to change, this ebooklet is for you.

This is a self-help program designed to make a significant difference in three weeks time.

You may have noticed that the new and improved KISS Flipper is now available for purchase on the Messies website again.

We have completely re-packaging this helpful tool!

Keep It Super Simple Flipper concept remains the same. It still has helpful and fun job cards, but it is repackaged into a smaller overall size and at a better price!!

And, probably the best news is that you don't have
do anything at all to set it up. It is completely ready to use as soon as you take it out of the mailer!

Wow!! Great News!!

3. New Habit of the Day

JUST DO IT - Do not wait till you feel like it.

Just move your body through the motions like a robot if that is all you can do. Face the fact that some things do not inspire. It is nice to want to. But do not wait for the humor to hit you. Just do it.

4. New Family Reminder of the Day

Pick one of these reminders or make one of your own
to share with your family each day.

In our family, we don't make messes or create work for others.

In our family, we don't boss others.
We focus on our own responsibilities.

5. New Quote of the Day

J.P. Morgan said,

"A man always has two reasons for doing anything -- a good reason and the real reason."

This is also true of not doing things. You have good reasons
for not getting them done. But what is the real reason?

6. New Question of the Day

What can you do that is new that will move you in the
right direction? A new product? A new habit? A new way of thinking?

Tell us by posting on Friends-of-The-Organizer-Lady.

7. From the Trenches

I never learned nor had a feel for "what should be thrown
away" and "what should be kept." I was afraid of throwing something out because I was sure that as soon as I did, I would "need it". I still have a problem with tossing metal juice lids from frozen juice, and bottled water bottles. It took a L-O-N-G time to get to that point (but I did!).

I felt overwhelmed and powerless - mentally frozen and
physically exhausted just thinking about it. I just couldn't bring myself to deal with doing all this cleaning and de-cluttering. It was too much for me, so I avoided it by "scrubbing cracks with a toothpick" to make myself feel that I accomplished something while ignoring the "real problem."

From Sandra: We face these ideas so we can challenge them.

(Further thanks to Carol for her insights.)

8. More Info

This is a simple program. We stick with the basics as they
are presented in these messages. Keep reading. Keep adding one part of the program at a time.

Repetition is important. Forward to friends if desired but not
to other sites.
Read this whole posting or only what you can take in today, then move on!

Print a copy of the Part 2 Reminders and How-To's today if you do not already have a copy.

Please memorize this slogan and post it on your wall.

The secret to success is making very small, yetvery consistent, changes.
Or to make it short; Baby steps, baby steps in the right direction.

Never underestimate the inevitability of gradualness.
