Having people into the house is one of the biggest issues with Messies. It is important in two ways. - It acts as a reality check for us. When we know someone is coming in, we look at the house differently and see things we never see when we are home alone. - It acts as a motivator. We are willing to do things for them that we do not have interest or ability to do for ourselves. But there is a hidden problem. Sometimes we have kept people out for so long that we no longer feel comfortable with anyone in our house even when it is nice. Take courage. When you are ready, invite someone you feel comfortable with over. Keep inviting folks until you are even more comfortable. You owe it to yourself. FROM THE TRENCHES FROM A NEW MESSIE Messies Anonymous changed my home in a few short weeks. I've been a messie all my life and paper/clutter is my enemy. Although I cleaned the house, it always seemed to get messie just as soon as I was done.
