1. Message of the Day

Why do we read this every day in whole or in part even though there is repetition? Because repetition is the key to change. Messages on The Organizer Lady do not stray far from the basics, the important essentials, needed for change.

As we integrate each one of these parts into our lives ever so slowly day by day our lives will change dramatically even when we are not fully aware of it. You are brainwashing yourself for the good. Trust me. This is true and it is very good.

2. Did You Know?

If “I want to get rid of it but I just can’t” sounds like you and if you are ready to change, this e-booklet is for you.

This is a self-help program designed to make a significant difference in three weeks’ time.

Click here to go to our webpage where you can purchase for $5.00. The e-booklet will be sent to you via email.

3. Habit of the Day

Make your bed every day, every day, every day. It doesn't have to be perfect, just done. No more lumpy, messy sheets, pillows, and covers casting a pall over the whole house. Instead, you will have a beautiful neat aura emanating from the bedroom.

If it takes you over a minute and a half on a slow day, you need to revamp your system.

4. Family Reminder of the Day

In our family, we hang up the towels neatly after bathing.

In our family, we put what we need the next day by the front door the night before.

5. Quote of the Day

"Winners make it happen. Losers let it happen."

Take appropriate and wise control of your life.

6. Question of The Day

Don Aslett says,

"I don't want to shock you, but I believe in wearing work clothes a week, not a day."
(How to Do 1000 Things at Once)

Wearing less clothes cuts down on laundry. The question of the day asks for your response to Don Aslett's idea AND any ideas you have for cutting down on laundry.

Tell us by posting on Friends-of-The-Organizer-Lady.

7. From the Trenches

I am a messy at heart. I have finished the decluttering of my home and I can now get my house in order in two hours with children under foot.

I have developed coping techniques for day to day struggles. I have learned that my house does not have to be perfect in order for it to be presentable. I have four young children...perfection is out of the question.

I have my flipper set up in such a way that cleaning is easy now.

So, in answer to Dyana's question to me...yes. I am a messy. But, now the hard stuff is done. I can do sewing and crafts without feeling like I am committing a crime against my family. I can go to yard sales and enjoy them. I can sit down and spend time doing fun things with my children.

I have reached my goals.

(Thanks to Jennifer)

Please memorize this slogan and post it on your wall.

The secret to success is making very small, yet very consistent, changes.

Or to make it short; Baby steps, baby steps in the right direction.

Never underestimate the inevitability of gradualness.
