Start maintaining as soon as you start improving.
Guard any clear space you create. Avoid the "clutter and clean"
roller coaster. It takes grit and focus but you can do it.
Keep moving forward.

1. Message of the Day

As you may recall, a powerful habit for change we mentioned before is "When you get it out, put it back." This slogan needs one more additional important word to make it really powerful.  Because it is so important, I will risk repeating myself. "When you get it out, put it back RIGHT AWAY."

- I'm too busy now
- I'll get right back to it
- I'll do it later
- Right there is okay for now
- I'll do it in a minute.
- I'll be using it again soon so I'll leave it out.

Clutter is the result of many little postponed actions. Before you know it, many little I'll-do-it-later piles make our houses messy and we hardly know how it happened.

When you read this message, say loudly with all the others across the world who receive it,

I wish we could shout it loud enough so we could hear a chorus of habit change flowing
west across the world with the time change.

2. Did You Know?

No it's not an April Fool's joke. My book, 5 Days to a Clutter Free House, is available in ebook for just 0.99 (or less) from almost all online book distributors.
Click here to find it on Amazon, or you can find it at Kindle UK, Nook, CBD, Kobo, Apple, or Vyrso. Pick your favorite one and enjoy.

You can edit your membership at Yahoo Groups home page
or to unsubscribe, click on the word "unsubscribe" at the very
bottom of this post if it arrived in your email inbox

3. Habit of the Day

Set a timer for ten minutes and attack a hot spot with a vengeance.
Some call it The Ten Minute Tidy.

4. Family Reminder of the Day

In our family, we put dishes into the dishwasher, not the sink.

In our family, we take responsibility for completing the chores assigned to us.

5. Quote of the Day

"Time is not the issue in organizing; commitment is."

Sandra Felton

6. Question of the Day

What are YOUR reasons for decluttering?
(Check out "Trenches" below.)

Tell us by posting on Friends-of-The-Organizer-Lady.

7. From the Trenches

Decluttering will give you more free time - you won't spend time looking for things. Also it is a great legacy to your family. If and when something happens to you, you will not transfer the burden of clutter to your friends and family. Only the really important and representative things will be there – there is enough emotional clutter for others to deal with without having to sift through each and every scrap of paper and nook and cranny. It's a true gift.

Are you tired of the never-ending clutter?
The Organizing Mastery program has helped many people get rid of clutter for good.
It is done through a weekly virtual program that’s hands-on and gets results.

9. More Info

This is a simple program. We stick with the basics as they are presented in these messages. Keep reading. Keep adding one part of the program at a time.

Repetition is important.
Forward to friends if desired but not to other sites.
Read this whole posting or only what you can take in today, then delete it.

Don't forget the daily reminders!!!
The daily Reminders and How-To's are found on our website at
"How to Begin"

Please memorize this slogan and post it on your wall.

The secret to success is making very small, yet very consistent, changes.

Or to make it short; Baby steps, baby steps in the right direction.
